Abstract This study is an attempt to identify the level of teaching skills such as excitement and motivation, use of techniques, classroom control, classroom activities, and the level of professional competence; and to know the relationship between teaching skills and professional competence among kindergarten teachers in Bani Waleed. On the one hand, the study aims to know the statistical differences in teaching skills attributed to the variable of years of experience, specialization, academic qualification; and on the other hand, it attempts to find the statistical differences in professional competence due to the variables of years of experience, specialization, and academic qualification. The researcher used the descriptive, correlational and analytical method in this study. Two types questionnaires were adopted to collect the required data: A teaching skills questionnaire (Al-Harbi, 2012) ; and a professional competency questionnaire (Al-Mughrabi, 2007). These questionnaires were distributed to 91 kindergarten teachers in the city of Bani Waleed during the academic year( 2023/2024). The main findings of the study indicated that the level of teaching skills was characterized by a high degree of (80.901) and the level of professional competence was characterized by a high degree of (83.394), and the existence of a direct (positive) correlation between teaching skills and professional competence. However, there were no statistically significant differences attributed to years of experience, specialization, and academic qualification for the teaching skills variable, and there were no statistically significant differences attributed to years of experience, specialization, and academic qualification for the professional competence variable
