What are the governing elements (standards) for strong sustainable tourism development and
sustainable tourism purposes in the planning region?
o Is the development and sustainability of the central and southern regions of the Sahrawi region

The study attempted to answer the research questions and reach policies and mechanisms for
the tourism development strategy for the Benghazi planning region, and to develop planning
alternatives for sustainable tourism development for the region, through a methodology that began
by following several research approaches, namely: the descriptive inductive approach: by tracking,
investigating, and reviewing books and studies on the research topic, which provided An overview
of current knowledge, monitoring the policies of foreign and Arab countries in their experiences
to achieve sustainable tourism development and determining the criteria for achieving sustainable
tourism destinations... and the descriptive analytical approach: a complete descriptive study of the
characteristics of the study area related to the dimensions of sustainable development, on which
the process of sustainable tourism development and change can be based. This process is a kind of
