he real value of the pasture is measured by its content of protein, carbohydrates,
fatty compound and the level of some elements as cobalt, copper and iron that their
deficiency in the pasture could cause many animal diseases especially that grows in
alkaline soils. The deficiency of cobalt in the pasture causes many diseases that could be
fetal, as it is considered as a beneficial element for legumes. In addition to that some
studies proved that non- leguminous plants proved the importance of cobalt for these
plants. It is also, known that cobalt is important for formation of B12 that in turn essential
for human and animal food, and inoculation of the soil by the root fungi (palmicoresia) that
improves growth and quality of plants that grow in alkaline soils for its beneficial effects
on the micro- flora of the soil
