الوصف
Textile industrial processes are one of the sources of water pollution due to the utilization of various dye constituents. Approximately 10% of the 70,000,000 tons/year of dyes produced worldwide are wasted during dyeing and end up in the environment (Benkhaya et al., 2020; Yuan et al., 2020). Synthetic dyes have received high attention due to their high production, processing speed, and serious environmental toxicity. The release of textile effluent containing dispersed dyes into aquatic bodies can harm the ecosystem by obstructing sunlight, which is necessary for marine plants and animals to photosynthesis. By increasing the metabolic and chemical oxygen demand, disrupting the oxygen transfer mechanism between air and water might have negative consequences by impeding the water's natural purification process.
