The study investigated the use of body language by English language teachers to grab students‟ attention during teaching (particularly at Al-Ajealat primary schools). In order to check the issue in language classrooms, a questionnaire and classroom observations were conducted in eight primary schools in Al-Ajealat. The results showed that although teachers did not use body language effectively during teaching, most of the students paid attention to their teachers, especially to their paralinguistic cues. The findings also showed that teachers used body language mostly during teaching speaking skills. Finally, the results showed that the main reasons that prevented teachers from paying more attention to body language during teaching are lack of training, time limit, and tiredness.
