| dc.description | Hepatitis B virus(hepadna virus), is a small, enveloped DNA virus with several unusual properties as specifically, the genome is a small, circular, partly double stranded DNA virus of only 3200 bases, and although a DNA virus, it encodes a reverse transcriptase a replicates through an RNA intermediate (8). The virion 42nm, double shelled particle originally called( Dane particle). The core contains the virus DNA polymerase, reverse transcriptase, protein kinas, ribonuclease and a P protein attached to the genome, all of which surrounded by the hepatitis B core antigen (HBcAg) and an envelope containing the glycoprotein hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) (8). | |
| dc.description.abstract | Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is global healthcare problem of great deal concert all over the world. Worldwide, WHO have estimated two billion people have been infected with the hepatitis B virus (HBV), and more than 350 million have chronic (long-term) liver infections (1). Hepatitis B is blood-borne hepatotropic virus that have distinct routes of transmission. It is serious and common infectious disease of the liver, affecting million of people throughout the word (2,3) ,the sever pathological consequences of HBV infection include the development of chronic hepatic insufficiency, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). End stage HBV-related liver disease and HCC are the main cause of liver transplantation. In addition HBV carriers can transmit the disease for many year (2,4) .The prevalence of HBV infection varies markedly in different geographic areas of the world as well as in different population subgroups. | |
