biofilm when given for extended periods of time. These findings suggest that irrigating with PVP at a low concentration could be a beneficial treatment for PJI in the presence of biofilm. Furthermore, the study provides evidence that irrigation with PVP is a critical step in removing biofilm from orthopedic surfaces during PJI treatment.
