Moreover, the main role of the access point equipment is to interconnect a variety of users together to the network and which is also capable of connecting a wireless LAN with a wired network. Furthermore, Mitchel (2015), a wireless/networking expert, gave a similar definition to the previous one. | |
| dc.description.abstract | With the large growing of wireless networks these days, it essentially to concentrate on the threats that might occur as result of the rapid increase of wireless networks around the world, particularly open Wi-Fi networks in public places which offer to users free accessing to internet without any protection or encryption for the data. Therefore, this environment considered as an important factor for attackers to carry out so-called evil twin access point attacks in public places that provide people with the access to internet .In this case, users could be vulnerable to such attack which means, users instead of connecting to a legitimate access point, they will associate to the fake access point and in this situation attacker could obtain credential login of any user who connecting to the evil twin AP without their knowledge. | |
