Rouse (2016) defined an access point as one of the components of a wireless network (WLAN) that works as a station which is responsible for transmitting and receiving data (transceiver). Moreover, the main role of the access point equipment is to interconnect a variety of users together to the network and which is also capable of connecting a wireless LAN with a wired network. Furthermore, Mitchel (2015), a wireless/networking expert, gave a similar definition to the previous one.
