The Roche Cobas Integra 400 plus, except insulin levels measured by Abbott architect i1000sr device. And leptin serum measured by Single humareader human company.
A significant positive correlation was found between fasting leptin with fasting insulin and BMI in type-II diabetic patients. And a significant positive correlation was found between fasting leptin, with cholesterol in diabetic patients.While there was no correlation found between fasting leptin with low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), High density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL), glucose, HbA1c, urea, Creatinine and triglycerides.
The major determinants of serum leptin levels in diabetic patients were BMI and insulin level, but not fasting blood glucose.
