| dc.description | Information technology and especially management information systems plays an important role in bringing about fundamental changes in the operations themselves, making them a key and essential part of these processes. It also enables organizations to open channels of communication with all of their stakeholders and gives them sufficient flexibility to adapt to developments in processes itself or the external environment, in addition to reducing the costs through control of the inventory and orders, and the organization of transport and shipping. All of this depends on the organization's ability to employ appropriate information technology and management information systems operations in a manner consistent with the surrounding environment. Linking of the information technology and management information systems with the supply chains control and organization is crucial to increase performance and the efficiency of the chains. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The complexity of the business environment today, together with the intense competition on the market, have lead to the greater importance of supply chains, which are considered to be one of the most important aspects of the modern business. Supply chains cover the complete process, from the collection of raw materials to the final product, sometimes even delivery of the final product to the customer. The main goal in any supply chain is to reduce expenses and to increase the quality of products. Supply chain can be observed as a plan or strategy which aims at providing the various raw materials and vocabulary in the right time and place, in quantities required, to be manufactured and delivered to the final consumption centers, in addition to its importance in the rapid response of the consumer in terms of product quality, quality and low price. | |
