الوصف
This research examines English as a foreign language (EFL) teachers' beliefs and practices of vocabulary teaching at secondary schools in Garabulli. It also investigates the relationship by looking at six teachers and investigating if their beliefs are consistent with their instructional practices. The significance of this study is that it examines the current situation of vocabulary teaching (VT) by exploring how teachers' beliefs may influence their performance in secondary school teaching in the Libyan context. This research utilized two qualitative data collection techniques including classroom observation and semi-structured interview. Six EFL teachers were selected to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the participants' beliefs and practices of VT. The researcher observed each teacher's classes three times to understand how the word is taught. Moreover, the teachers were interviewed to investigate their beliefs along with establishing the relationship between their beliefs and practices of VT.
