In recent years, much emphasis has been placed on the role of tourist development in boosting rural communities. The rural-urban divide and the sustainability of rural livelihoods are becoming increasingly important as our globe gets more urbanized. Rural tourism development has emerged as a possible approach for fostering long-term change and revival of rural areas (Li H et al., 2020). International organizations such as the (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development [OECD],2023; The Food and Agricultural Organization [FAO], 2023; The World Bank, 2022; The International Fund for Agricultural Development [IFAD], 2021; and the European Commission, Commission, 2023) all emphasize the importance of rural development.
