The results revealed statistically
significant differences at the level of 0.001 between the mean ranks of pre- and
post-test scores for both self-esteem and learning motivation in the experimental
group, favoring the post-test. Additionally, there were statistically significant
differences at the level of 0.001 between the mean ranks of the control and
experimental groups in the post-test for both self-esteem and learning motivation,
favoring the experimental group. Furthermore, no statistically significant
differences were found between the mean ranks of post-test and follow-up scores
for either self-esteem or learning motivation in the experimental group. These
results indicate the effectiveness of the counseling program based on selfadvocacy
strategies and the continuity of its impact on developing self-esteem and
learning motivation among students with learned helplessness in the preparatory
stage .
