Therefore, scholars have started thinking of renewable energy sources such as the solar energy to generate electricity which can be used in rural areas as they are very far from the General Public Electricity Grid. Moreover, in order to support these rural areas with electricity, we need too much time, effort and costs. To develop the rural areas and make the social and economic lives of the countryside people better, we need to provide energy sources to make farmers able to increase their products. Farmers depend on electrical generators, which cost them too much money and considered unclean. This effects on the investors, farmers and consumers. This means that the crops will be very expensive because of using the electrical generators in farms. This study includes a theoretical design for a photoelectric system to generate energy for a house inside a farm in a rural area which is far from the General Public Electricity Grid in the south of Misurata, with a capacity of 10 kW.This is sufficient to run a house with a water pump and comparing it with a diesel generator having the same power capacity and loads. A computer Program (Homer) for calculating the results accurately and the average solar radiation has been used in this study. Throughout this study, it can be concluded that the daily cost of using the solar is 3.98 LYD. However, the daily cost which of using the diesel generator is 17.42 LYD. The study also confirmed that the usage of the solar energy to generate the electricity has a huge economic and environmental rewards in both long and short terms. Moreover, the usage of diesel generators causes environmental pollution noise, the costs of transporting oil and gas to remote places inside the rural areas is another problem.Searching for the new energy sources has been increased in the last ten years, because the current energy sources are depleting and have a negative effect on the environment.
