The attenuation caused by sand and dust particles is one of the major problems in the utilization of microwave and millimeter wave bands for terrestrial and space communication . When microwave and millimeter waves pass through a medium containing precipitations like sand and dust particles, the signals gets attenuated through two phenomena: 1- Absorption of energy by sand and dust particles, which depends on the loss tangent of the sand and the dust contents, the more contents of sand and dust material attenuation to the signal, will be move. 2- Scattering of energy out of beam by sand and dust particles.Radio communication plays a vital role in any country’s social and economical development, many applications require radio frequency (RF) or microwave propagation from point to point very near the earth’s surface examples of such applications include cellular telephones, public service radio, pagers, broadcast television, radio stations, and differential GPS transmitters. The performance of service depends on many factors such as area of coverage, and climate conditions.Attenuation Caused by DustAttenuation caused by dust storms at 6-7 GHZ in(el-jabal AL akhdar)area
