فرارة, د. عبد الرحمن محمد2025-03-132025-03-13https://dspace.academy.edu.ly/handle/123456789/1497Hepatitis B infection is an occupational hazard disease, seroconversion rates reported after HBV vaccination globally ranges from 90-95%, dentists are a high-risk group to acquiring HBV as non- immunized dentist considering the risk of liver cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma which is a leading cause of death globally and non-responder dentists to vaccine remain susceptible to infection with HBV and the immunization status among dentists were not reported previously in Libya, therefore this study aimed to assess the hepatitis B vaccination status through determine the vaccine coverage rate and evaluate efficiency of HBV vaccine among dentists in Libya, also determine the importance of serological test (the Anti-HBs) titer and evaluate the correlation of personal factors associated with serologic evidence of the immune response which are age sex, gender and the chronic diseases. 300 dentists enrolled in this cross-sectional study 95 (31.7%) were males and 205 (68.3%) were female from some hospitals and health care centers and dental clinics from three different regions in Libya. The age range of dentists was 23 to 65 years.
