Over the last few years, it has been suggested that antenna arrays be used in mobile communications systems to overcome the problem of restricted channel bandwidth, thereby meeting the ever-increasing demand for a large number of mobiles on communications channels.[1]. Many studies have shown that employing an array in a mobile communications system improves system performance by increasing channel capacity and spectrum efficiency, extending range coverage, tailoring beam shape, steering multiple beams to track multiple mobiles, and electronically compensating aperture distortion. Multipath fading, channel interferences, system complexity and cost, BER, and outage likelihood are all reduced as well. Adaptive antennas and the algorithms that govern them have been suggested to be critical to the development of high-capacity communications systems. In the lower microwave region, researchers are looking into solutions to overcome the problem of a crowded spectrum and limited accessible bandwidth. Recently, researchers have developed systems that use directional antennas to overcome the problem of restricted channel bandwidth by combining sector beams from multiple directional antenna elements to boost channel capacity, enhance spectral efficiency, extend range coverage, customize beam shapes, and allow multiple beams to steer, detect and track mobile users. Following the emerging needs of commercial communication sectors, this research adopts a scheme of designing and analyzing horn array antenna to work in wide bandwidth base stations. In the current technology, there is an increase of path loss by 3dB, for doubling the operating frequency. Thus, careful deign of sophisticated antenna, with high directivity will enable mm-Wave communication systems to overcome loss due to long distance, and further assists in overcoming the problem of bandwidth congestion.Base Station for 5G Applications with Horn Antenna ArrayEnhancing the Performance of a Base Station for 5G Applications with Horn Antenna Array
