The most prominent victims of these conflicts are the inhabitants of the Libyan city of Tawergha who have been forcibly displaced from their city. They have moved to several Libyan regions where many live in camps similar to concentration camps lacking the most basic humanitarian and living needs. Their displacement has affected their lives in many different ways, not only physically, but also in terms of social cohesion of the displaced. The importance of the study is to shed light on the problem of forced migration and its reflection on the social cohesion within the family in the Libyan society in order to reach objective results that contribute to the necessary response to a phenomenon that has become a great burden on the reality of the Libyan society and its future. The present study was based on a theoretical concept consisting of theoretical approaches to social cohesion to help explain the general outcome of the study and to give it theoretical implications. The objectives of the study were to explore the effects of forced displacement on social cohesion within the family in Libyan society.
