• The dependence of the exordial sector on the export of one commodity, which is crude oil, which indicates an increase in the contribution of oil exports in (GDP) growth, compared to a decrease in the contribution of non-oil exports in this resulting. • It was found that there is a positive relationship between foreign trade and exports as the development in the total value of foreign trade (exports and imports) in the Libyan economy during the study period is closely related to the development in the total value of exports, as it is affected by developments in the total value of exports more than it is affected by developments in the total value of imports. • The Libyan economy is considered one of the economies open to the outside world and at high rates. • Growth rates in the gross domestic product (GDP)of the Libyan economy be unstable, this is because of its dependence on oil export revenues. • Continuous work to reduce the control of the oil sector over economic activity and the export sector, and to pay more attention to other productive sectors, it is necessary to work on building a competitive, productive structure that works efficiently and in which the competitive advantage is focused on the use of available economic resources. • The necessity to follow a clear and specific trade policy in the field of foreign trade and this policy can combine a set of elements of the import substitution policy with a set of elements of the export promotion policy in a way that is consistent with the conditions and capabilities of the Libyan economy. • Reduce the import of goods that can be produced locally and focus on the import of goods that interfere with the process of economic development. • The geographical location of Libya and Benefiting from it by making it an area for free trade between Europe and Africa's countries. This can only be achieved by working from the state to develop transport networks of all kinds, especially maritime transport.
