الوصف
11 water habitats, 7 permanent water habitats, and 4 temporary water habitats. 2186 larvae were collected during the study period where 1679 from the permanent aquatic habitats and 507 larvae from the temporary habitat. Three species were recorded from the permanent water habitats : Culiseta. longiareolate ,Culex. laticinctus, Anopheles. sergentii, whereas two species were collected from temporary water: Culiseta. longiareolate ,Culex. laticinctus habitats. Cs. longiareolata was the most abundant species of mosquito larva in permanent and temporary study habitats. The study showed that there were differences between the months in terms of the number of larvae collected during the study period, which recorded the highest rate in May, while the lowest number was in December. Ain Al-Karma was the most permanent aquatic habitats abundant with mosquito larvae, while Al-Qawalish was the most abundant temporary water habitat. The Specific richness index, and Shannon index, shows that Ain Al-Sirri was the most diverse permanent habitat of mosquito larvae, while AL-Asabea was the most diverse temporary aquatic habitat. The results of this study showed that these species were recorded for the first time in Jabal Al-Gharbi and some of them vectors for some diseases such as malaria and this increase the possibility of recording malaria cases in Jabal Al-Gharbi especially is one of the illegal migration routes in Libya.
