As we are well aware, most of the accident and incidents in the power plants arising up due to no clear occupational health and safety procedures and instructions inside the power plants work location. The methodology of this thesis is divided into two parts, the Theoretical Part which basically contains an introduction of the electrical industry history, and also covered the main aspects of the Occupational health and safety management System (OHSMS) .

The Practical Part study presents A gap Analysis between the current situation in Tripoli South Power Generation Plant (TSPGP) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System Requirements by gathering the data obtained from the site survey and interviewing with the Tripoli South Power Generation Plant Staff and then filling the OH&S Management System Audit check list according to three types of answering categories as Conformance, Partial Conformance and Non conformance based on the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Requirements .SPSS for windows was also used as software to process and analyize the statistical data
