The effect of moisture in the feed stock on the gasification of the waste plastics blend is studied in this thesis . The heat mercenaries in the recirculation region was 335900 kcal / hr -599400 kcal /hr. at a moisture content of 0.1 – 0.13 kg /kg d .f. 19 These results show the process sensitivity to moisture content and the necessity to be well controlled in the process . study of the effect of steam on the kiln reactor is made in this thesis . The effect of surface emissivity on thermal losses are also made in this thesis . The thermal losses is more than double by increasing the emissivity from 0.8 to 1.04 . The effect of rotary kiln reactor rotation on heat transfer coefficient is studied . An increase of rotation speed from 3 to 3.9 (r .p .m) has led to an increase in thermal losses from 137.96 to 290.62 kcal/kg d .f .
