الوصف
The need to manage the regular release of hazardous chemicals into the environment, such as herbicides used in agriculture, is becoming increasingly pressing. There are several ways to remove pesticides from water, but adsorption on mesoporous biochar derived from palm kernel shells with doped melamine (as a nitrogen source) serves as a cost-effective alternative to commercial activated carbon for herbicide pollution treatment in water, laying the groundwork for a swift and efficient cleanup process. Additionally, when combined with phytoremediation in one system to alleviate stress on plants used in phytoremediation and reduce toxicity at high concentrations of herbicides, it enhances removal efficiency.
