الوصف
Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) (or alumina) is widely used in technical ceramics, specifically to manufacture advanced ceramics. Besides its exceptional refractoriness, hardness, and resistance to electricity and corrosion, it is inert with superior biocompatibility; thus, it is presently utilized in biomedical and surgical domains. Alumina is used in various fields, including construction, abrasive or chemical waste cleaning, fuel cells, and microelectronics, among others [13,14]. Single-crystal alumina is used as a dental implant. If alumina is produced using particles smaller than 4 μm, the modulus of elasticity rises to 30 GPa, which may cause problems.
