While the importance of active and interactive learning in online classroom settings has been demonstrated, research on the role and impact of digital tools on active learning, feedback, and repetition in lectures is limited. This dearth of research is most evident in the case of new digital platforms such as interactive digital whiteboards (Chen et al., 2020).
