الوصف
The A-Pool is located in south eastern part of Hamada-NC8A in Ghadames
Basin, eleven wells has been drilled during the exploration appraisal phase.
Seven wells (A1- NC8A, A6-NC8A, A7-NC8A, A8-NC8A, A9-NC8A,
A11-NC8A & A12-NC8A) considered oil wells, where as (A2-NC8A,
A3-NC8A, A4-NC8A and A5-NC8A) were dry, the Tadrart sandstone
Formation represent the main petroleum play within the southern part of
the Ghadmes Basin, it is composed of a series of non-marine to marginal
marine sediments, the sandstones reservoir interpreted to be channel
deposits, including fluvial channels and tidal estuarine channels. Tadrart
Formation has been divided into Tadrart-D1 and Tadrart-D2.
Tadrart-D1 subdivided into Tadrart-D1b, Tadrart-D1aSH and Tadrart-
D1SH, the Tadrart-D1b represent the main reservoir composed of
estuarine, tidal creek, tidal sand flats and shore face deposits, the
depositional environments identified through core descriptions in APool
were compared with the log signatures and petrophysical
analysis .
The Tadrart thickness map were generated by using well tops shows
clearly variable gross formation ranging from 55 to 260 feet,
petrophysical analysis identified the net pay thickness of the Tadrart-D1b
ranging from view feet to 80 feet, porosity reached up to 16%, water
saturation reached up to 49% and the volume of shale reached 16%. The
Tadrart-D2 with maximum thickness of 45.5 feet, porosity ranging from
(7 to17%), water saturation ranging from (35 to 56 % ) and Volume of
shale reached up to 14%
