pre-test show that there are some areas which cause problems to the students and need to be particularly emphasized. The researcher assesses the effect of comprehension strategies for improving students’ skills to understand medical texts. The findings indicate that the experimental group outperforms the control group in the tests. This is an indication of the fact that using the strategies has a significant positive effect on students’ comprehension
