The Biofertilizers or microbial inoculants are organic products containing living cells of different types of microorganisms, which have the ability to convert nutritionally important elements from unavailable to available form through biological processes. It can be generally defined as preparation containing live or latent cells of efficient strains of nitrogen fixing and phosphates solubilizing microorganism used for treatment of seed (Vessey, 2003).
They are composting the area with the objective of increasing the number of such microorganisms and accelerate microbial process to augment the extant of the availability of the nutrient in a form which can easily assimilated by plant ( Subba – Rao , 1986)
