| dc.description | A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) infrastructure is a less dynamic network consists of collection of wireless mobile node that communicates with each other without the use of centralized network. Security in MANET is the most important concern for the basic functionality of network. Denial of Service (DoS) attack is one of the main threats that the MANET is facing. there are many types used for creating a denial of service (dos) ,Black hole attack is the denial of service attack used here. The general objective of this project is to evaluate the performance of the MANET network in the presence and absence of a denial of service attack. Security mechanism is done by considering the routing paths of different packets by securing the packets from black hole attack. This is done by sending and receiving messages between intermediate nodes so as to ensure delivery of packets. The final result was the delay and loss ratio of data in case of AODV protocol better than OLSR protocol With little decrease in throughput compared to the OLSR protocol. Which improved the performance of MANET against black hole attack. | |
