| dc.description | Libya is one of the richest countries in archaeological sites, buildings and historical evidence. These sites are spread over a geographical area extending over the majority of the Libyan lands and are characterized by their cultural diversity. And it’s a true mirror of history and civilization of the peoples that are steeped in history since prehistoric times. The old city of Tripoli is one of those important historical evidence in Libya, which has a huge architectural heritage about 3000 years ago since its establishment by the Phoenicians. Unfortunately, many of the historic buildings in the Old City of Tripoli have not been adequately maintained and rehabilitated. All the studies and plans that targeted the Old City of Tripoli were working on the general plan of the city. The rehabilitation work on the level of the building was random and the buildings remained in a state of deterioration. Especially because of the changes made on it and its surroundings during the past 50 years. | |
