This study found that NAC can effectively reduce the rate of corrosion of low steel in 0.5MH2SO4 solution. Increasing the concentration of NAC leads to a decrease in double-layer capacitance and an increase in inhibition efficiency. The adsorbed NAC film is facilitated by oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur sites. 5mM NAC acts as a mixed-type inhibitor with anodic predominance. The study also concluded that NAC-based corrosion inhibitor formulations have higher efficiencies compared to NAC alone at high temperatures, and they are comparable to commercial inhibitors under the
