Carbohelicenes are an attractive and fascinating family of polyaromatic compounds with successive ortho-fused benzene rings and a chiral helical structure.[1] The helical structure of a helicene is what distinguishes it from other compounds.[2] Helicenes possess a C2-symmetric axis (Figure 1), which is orthogonal to the helical axis that permits them to spiral in opposite directions; hence, they are chiral
