Due to their advantages in wireless networks microstrip patch antenna array has been used at 60 GHz. In this thesis Firstly, the design of a microstrip single patch antenna (MSPAn) operating at 60 GHz has been investigated testing of important parameters behaviour such as: directivity, gain, voltage standing wave ratio and radiation pattern, has also been under taken, using HFSS software. But a variety of patches have been proposed to suite the application for the 5th generation. As an advanced structure array, an (MPAnAr) is formed by two "Y" shaped branches, which are connected through an outside annular feeding line. On each "Y" shaped branch, there are two lines of three linearly collected rectangular patches. The radius of the annular power line has been optimized based on the half-wavelength impedance. The result of the simulation of the array parameters has shown that the array of microstrip antennas presented can reach as high gain value as 10 dB at approximately the operating frequency 60GHz. Comparison of antennas arrays operating on the same frequency is also provided and from this comparison the designed antenna array has better gain and wider band width with low return losses.
