dc.descriptionIn this study we used numerical matrix method, and simple computer programming such as Matlab and Mathematica to find quantum stationary states and energies eigenvalues for some one dimension potential problems. These methods are first used for familiar exactly solvable problems, such as the infinite potential well, and then for those which are not solvable by analytical methods , such as finite potential well, harmonic oscillator, Kronig Penney (KP) model, with basis that consists of the infinite set of square well eigenfunctions. We gave a special attention to the one-dimensional harmonic oscillator, and (KP) model which demonstrates many features that are important in discussion of semiconductor, energy bands and impurity states.
