الوصف
The research employs a mixed-methods approach, integrating quantitative econometric analyses of trade volumes, FDI flows, and portfolio investments with qualitative insights from expert interviews and surveys of financial institutions. Dependent variables include cross-border trade volume and investment flows, while independent variables capture CBDC adoption, regulatory quality, and payment system efficiency. Control variables, such as GDP, exchange rates, trade openness, and inflation, are included to account for macroeconomic and institutional factors. Comparative analyses examine how differences in market maturity, institutional quality, and regulatory frameworks influence the effectiveness of CBDCs in facilitating trade and investment. Findings suggest that CBDC implementation can enhance efficiency, reduce transaction costs, and improve liquidity management in cross-border trade, while also influencing investor behavior and FDI allocation decisions. The impact is moderated by institutional quality, with developed economies benefiting from greater transparency and stronger regulatory frameworks, whereas emerging economies may face higher operational and adoption risks.
