dc.descriptionThe health sector in Libya was a newly adopter of total quality management (TQM), although the level of progress made toward full implementation is unknown. Since employee performance is a good indicator of the quality management system's efficacy, there is a clear need for more research in this area. The literature suggests that Total quality management's implementation as a management system has a significant influence in inspiring and empowering workers to provide their best work.
dc.description.abstractThis study investigates how the Total Quality Management (TQM) practices affect the performance of the employees and how training serves as a mediator at Al-Bayada Hospital, Libya. Within the quantitative research design, the data were collected through structured questionnaire from 398 employees and then analyzed using SPSS software. The findings revealed that TQM practices - top management commitment, continuous improvement, staff participation, and customer focus - attained a high positive relationship with employee performance. Also, it was found that significant roles in mediation were played by training because it strengthens the impact of TQM practices on employee performance outcomes. Correlation and regression analyses confirmed that training initiatives considerably strengthen the effectiveness of TQM by improving employees' knowledge, skills, and adaptability.
