This study investigates the extent of the LIA's commitment to corporate governance requirements set forth for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and is in six axes (the foundations of governance, shareholders' equity, equal treatment of shareholders, role of stakeholders, disclosure and transparency, the responsibilities of the Board of Directors), was the study sample test Libyan Investment Authority and the companies listed below.
The study aims to identify corporate governance and the importance of exercise in business firms, and over the Libyan Investment Authority's commitment to the requirements of corporate governance, the study assumed that the Libyan Investment Authority does not comply with the requirements of corporate governance issued by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and to test the hypotheses of the study questionnaire was designed using Quintet for Akrth scale was analyzing the results of the questionnaire and data processing CNC, through a program (SPSS), and the researcher used descriptive analytical method to describe and interpret the phenomenon of the study, through the statistical description of the axes of the study and test hypotheses using the test (T) per sample.
The study concluded that the Libyan Investment Authority is committed to the principles of corporate governance level of the average in general, and the study recommends the need to work to make more efforts in order to Mttabat best practice corporate governance.
