dc.descriptionMoreover, four PVT laboratory samples from different wells were analyzed, the well XX-1 PVT sample was considered as the most representative due to low certainty from the other samples as XX-26 considered as not representative due to inconsistency of gas composition and high amount of gas in stock tank more than in first separator stage. The representative PVT was validated most properly using the Al-Shammasi correlation to describe oil formation volume factor, Casey-Cronquist correlation for gas solubility. Therefore, nine core samples from the reservoir were evaluated
dc.description.abstractAccurate reservoir characterization is a key step in developing, monitoring, and managing a reservoir and optimizing production. To achieve accuracy and to ensure that all the information available and have good accuracy. In this research study the fluid and rock properties for Belhedan Oil field that produced from a complex faulted sandstone reservoir. The available PVT laboratory tests and core data were analyzed to select the representative PVT sample and core sample that can be used with high certainty for reservoir and production engineering application required to develop and produce the field reserve, with high efficiency that leads to maximize the oil recovery.
