الوصف
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in the economic development of a country. In Libya, they contribute between 60% and 65% of the gross national product (GNP). Their role in employment generation is also widely recognised. Therefore, SMEs can reduce the unemployment rate and increase economic growth and are particularly significant for bringing innovative products and techniques to the marketplace. However, access to finance is an important and necessary aspect in helping new and growing SMEs to set up and expand their operations, develop new products, and invest in new staff and production facilities.
