dc.descriptionIn this research study of flow properties savonius rotor (S-rotor) and evaluate the performance and study of the effect of some variables on the capability curve and torque using the technique (CFD) by ANSYS12.1- CFX program where this program was applied two different designs of turbine savonius (S-rotor) without overlapping and with overlapping 0.25 and comparison of properties and performance of each of them.
dc.description.abstractThe vertical axis wind turbines find considerable interest from researchers in the field of wind power Nowadays there many advantages comparison with horizontal axis wind turbines , but the best ones in terms of simplicity in design and maintenance cost, nor does it depend on the wind direction, and it does not need to control system and guidance, as well as ease of self circulation.
