However, adequate nutrition may not be possible in many developing countries; vitamin D supplementation should be considered early in these cases. In recommendation, there is an increasing need for public health strategies to educate women as to the need for a healthy diet and vitamin D supplementation before conception, or at least at the beginning of the infertility treatment with integrating this information into educational curricula, pre-marital counseling, and preconception care is needed. | dc.description.abstract | The most prevalent endocrine problem among women of reproductive age is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Furthermore, it gives rise to several health complications during the course of a woman's lifespan. The global prevalence of PCOS ranges from 6% to 13%. The prevalence of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in Egypt is estimated to be 13% among fertile individuals and 37.5% among secondary infertile people. In cases where lifestyle modifications and conventional ovulation induction have proven ineffective in achieving pregnancy or when the patient presents with other factors of infertility necessitating IVF, such as severe male factor of infertility or tubal occlusion, IVF/ICSI is regarded as a significant therapeutic approach for managing anovulatory infertility in individuals with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). | |
