The last decade it has witnessed an extraordinary growing interest in the field of wireless communications. Major requirements of future wireless communication systems are thus higher user data rates, improved coverage and spectral efficiency, as well as enhanced user mobility. Low complexity and improved radio link quality are also desired. All those enhancements will allow bringing to mobile users Internet services and multimedia applications, anytime and anywhere, that consume lot of resources.
The goal of thesis is to adopt simulations considering two models of OSTBC-MCCDMA downlink system. First model equipped with two antennas at the base station and one antenna at the mobile unit while the second model considers two transmit and receive antennas and investigate the performance of a Kalman filter channel estimation and tracking for OSTBC-MC-CDMA transceiver over time varying Rayleigh fading channels.
