| dc.description.abstract | This study aims at stating and analyzing the relationship between user's participation and the development of information systems and discussing a group of factors that affect the relationship between user's participation and the development of these systems, and evaluating its influence on the applications of those systems in commercial banks, particularly Aljamhurya Bank- Zliten. To achieve the study's objectives and to answer its questions, the researcher depended – in collecting the data related to the topic – on secondary data that formulated the theoretical framework of the study. As to the practical framework the researcher depended on preparing a questionnaire application that was designed for this purpose and 100 copies were given to the employees in all the departments in the bank but only 73 copies were retrieved. The study has showed existence of high effects for all the intervening factors by the user's participation on one hand, and by the success in developing information systems on another hand. However the influence of that variables sometimes vary in different levels according to the level of interest and support that was received from the bank administration. The researcher analyzed and examined the hypotheses of the study and it resulted in some findings that related to the influence of user's participation in developing information systems and the most important of them are: - The absence of the interaction between recognizing information users' needs and the process of information systems in addition to not paying any attention to the participation of the individuals and users in preparing and developing those systems. The study concluded with some recommendations which can rise the level, quality and effectiveness of those systems and developing them in banking sector. - It is necessary to encourage the employees in the field of information systems by improving their academic and technical level and updating 3 the technical and professional developments, therefore developing their skills through training courses and other. Also the concentration on employing the individuals who enjoy scientific and practical specialized qualifications in the field of information systems according to the size and level of their duties and tasks. | |
