dc.descriptionThe use of plants as a source of remedy for the treatment of many diseases, narcotics, dyes, and poison for warfare and hunting dated back to prehistory. Most of these compounds were used in there crude forms.
dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity (total antioxidant and free radical scavenging activities) of methanolic and aqueous plant extracts of 23 types of Libyan medicinal plants. The 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assays were used to determine the antioxidant properties of plant extracts by measuring the decrease in absorbance at 515 nm.
