The current renewed interest on research and development of EOR processes and their oilfield implementation would allow targeting significant volumes of oil accumulations that have been left behind in mature reservoirs after primary and secondary oil recovery operations. During the life of a producing oil field, several production stages are encountered. Initially, when a field is brought into production, oil flows naturally to the surface due to existing reservoir pressure in the primary phase. As reservoir pressure drops, water is typically injected to boost the pressure to displace the oil in the secondary phase. Lastly, the remaining oil can be recovered by a variety of means such as carbon dioxide (CO2) injection, natural gas miscible injection, and steam recovery in the final tertiary or enhanced oil recovery (EOR) phase.
The methodology of this study was started by collecting miscible flooding worldwide EOR projects data. Data analysis using statistical theories started with box and histogram plots for each reservoir parameter to get the updating range screening criteria for carbon dioxide miscible flooding. The updating of screening criteria for carbon dioxide miscible flooding was compared with other published screening criteria using NCSS software. Then, building a fluid model to estimate MMP using some of the published empirical correlations and assessing the results of correlations using statistical analysis to compare the results of correlation to select the best correlation for MMP using Libyan crude oils. After completed the screening and fluid modelling processes the programming of criteria and correlation were third step, by application of Scean Builder and Net beans tools with Javafx language to come up with a programme investigate the percentage of success by applying of CO2 flooding and measure the value of MMP based on empirical correlations. The simulation study for Harash formation was based on a 3D seismic interpreted depth structure map, and the Dynamic model was based on the reservoir fluid properties and well production data. Model was generated by using ECLIPSE software. The Prediction process takes two forms, the first one drilling new vertical wells and a horizontal well with hydraulic fracture process using ECLIPSE software. The second form was applying the carbon dioxide miscible flooding with different injection rates as simulation model properties using EORgui software to optimize the process that increase the oil recovery. There are several sources of CO2 in Libya, investigate the sources and amount of CO2 in these sources and the

methods of transportation to Nasser SE field also studied by evaluating the distance between the sources and the field. Finally, Economic evaluation of the most critical parameters to evaluate the possibilities of applying the CO2 flooding. This evaluation is the seventh step in this study. Studying the economic parameters and running comparison between drilling new wells with hydraulic fracturing and injecting the CO2 during production of wells.
