Most historical research is based mainly on historical sources of information and books of tabaqat, genealogies and siyar, and usually these sources deal with and give great importance to the strata of rulers, leaders and politicians.
However, the books of nawāzil fiqh are considered a rich source of historical information, not only because they deal with the daily life of the community, but also because they contain historical information that reveals important depths and mysteries not found in most traditional historical sources. Indeed, the fiqh of nawāzil is in fact the fiqh of fact, and thus a valuable source of historical information.
Perhaps al-Mi'yār al-Mu'rib is one of the most valuable books of nawāzil as a new historical source.
