الوصف
This is the first study to investigate the seroprevalence of HEV infection and associated risk factors among Libyan Healthy blood donors. The present study revealed that the overall seroprevalence of HEV infection among the healthy blood donors of Tripoli, Libya was low at 5.24%. Furthermore, the seroprevalence of anti-HEV IgG was 4.49%, while the seroprevalence of both anti-HEV antibodies (IgM and IgG) was 0.74%. As a result, Libya might be considered an endemic nation for HEV.
