The current research findings provide a different perspective on the changes in the masonry wall performance under compressive loadings, thereby forming a foundation for further analysis in future. A crucial point for improvement is that more experimental research involving full-scale masonry walls should be conducted with diverse slenderness ratios, opening configurations, and many test specimens. Moreover, an analytical approach involving finite element analysis should consider a larger test matrix to verify the findings for several critical parameters, such as boundary conditions, asymmetrical openings, and opening sizes.
