dc.descriptionThis study is aimed at investigating English language tests at the preparatory and secondary schools at Aljafarah Municipality to find out whether they are reliable, valid, well-constructed and administrated or not. It also aims to measure teachers' knowledge about language testing and to demonstrate whether they are capable of making English language tests that have positive impact rather than negative impact on teaching and learning. Guidelines are given to teachers to create well-designed and constructed tests in the literature review chapter. Three instruments of data collection are used to provide reliable data. Test papers are administrated and collected to find out whether the tests are well-designed or not. Questionnaires are used to measure teachers' knowledge about language testing. The results revealed that some tests were reliable, valid, well- constructed and administrated. It also showed that some teachers are knowledgeable about language testing, and others are not. Finally, the results, conclusion, and recommendations are included accordingly.
